A typical mix chain is eight or ten plugins per track, each with its own window, its own learning curve and its own CPU bill. Hive Fire puts the whole chain in one place, in the right order, sounding right together.
Presets that get you there fast
Pick your genre and instrument (vocals, guitars, drums, bass, keys, the master) and you’re in the ballpark in seconds. Every preset is level-matched, so you hear what it does, not just “louder”.
Light enough for every track
About a third of a percent of CPU per instance at default settings. Put it on every track, every bus and the master without your session choking.
Tools in one rack
Drag modules into any order, switch any of them off, and flip switches mid-song without clicks or pops. Automate it all from your DAW.
Every tool a mix needs, in the order it needs them
Each module has a name you’ll remember, a job you’ll understand, and a power button.
Noise gate
Silences hiss, hum and bleed between notes and phrases, smoothly, without chopping words or tails.
Level rider
Rides the volume for you like an engineer on the fader, so quiet words don’t vanish and loud ones don’t jump out.
De-esser
Tames harsh “s” and “t” sounds without dulling the voice.
Dynamic EQ
Shape the tone with a live spectrum, and let bands react only when a frequency gets out of hand, like ducking guitars only where the vocal sits.
Character compressor
Glue and punch, plus three one-knob character sliders for low-end weight, top-end sparkle and scream/fry grit.
Width, doubles & harmonies
Widen, double, add up to four harmony voices, and shape attack and sustain. Strip the pick or pluck right off a note for a smooth, sustained layer.
Slap delay
Short slap-back with tape-style wobble and warmth, the classic rock-and-roll vocal trick.
Delays & looper
Vocal throws, ping-pong, analog, tape and reverse delays that swell in from silence, plus a looper locked to your song’s bars.
Reverb
Room, plate, hall and chamber, with filtering and ducking so the space never muddies the mix.
Limiter
Loud, clean and safe: a true-peak limiter for streaming-ready masters, with lo-fi bitcrusher modes when you want dirt.
Analyzers
Spectrum, loudness (LUFS), phase and a fire-coloured stereo field display, so you can see what you hear.
Your order, your way
Drag the modules into any order. The gate always comes first and the limiter always comes last.
New to mixing? Start with a preset and nudge a knob or two. Know exactly what you want? Every control is there: spectral dynamics, true-peak limiting with up to 32× oversampling, sidechain keying, tempo-synced everything.
From your first song to your hundredth record
Just getting started
No more guessing which plugin goes where. Load a preset for your genre and instrument, hear a finished-sounding track, then learn by turning things on and off.
Producers & beatmakers
Hip-hop, trap, R&B, gospel, EDM, pop, rock and every shade of metal. Fast, loud, clean results, with throws, slaps and loops built in.
Mix & mastering engineers
Dynamic and spectral EQ, sidechain-keyed ducking, true-peak limiting, oversampling, latency reported to your DAW, sample-accurate automation. Built by an engineer with 25+ years behind the console.
A preset for your sound
Whole-chain presets for every kind of track, plus per-module presets sorted by genre and instrument. Including multi-mic drum kits and low-tuned guitar setups down to Drop A and beyond.

Good to know
Yes. No payment, no card, no account, no license key. Just sign up and download.
Not at all. The presets get you a great-sounding starting point for your genre and instrument, and every module has a plain-English name and tooltips. Pros get every control they’d expect, too.
At 2:16 AM on Halloween the beta stops processing. Your sessions still open and play, just without Hive Fire, until you install the Halloween Special release, which is free, with a lifetime license for every version before 2.0, until Friday, November 13.
Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), in any DAW that loads VST3 plugins: REAPER, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Ableton Live and more. Mac (AU) and Pro Tools (AAX) versions are planned for 1.0.
It’s built to run on every track: about 0.3% CPU per instance at default settings on a regular laptop. Heavy options like 32× oversampling cost more, and they’re off by default.
The installer and the plugin are code-signed by Justin Williams (Dad Bee Music), and each release is scanned on VirusTotal, with the scan linked right next to the download.
Only what the beta needs: your download link, one email when the Halloween release goes live, and your free Halloween license key. No newsletter, no marketing, no selling your details.
